    Nuz is an avid explorer of the politics of aesthetics, she transforms her passion for visual discourse through the intricate artistry of henna. Nuz is interested in her commitment to challenge norms in the art world & delves into the beauty of unconventional aesthetics, seeking to redefine ‘prettiness’ by infusing her designs with a political edge. She is interested in art that challenges established notions about the intersection of beauty, culture, and societal expectations.

  • Ruqaiyyah

    Ruqaiyyah Patel is a fashion stylist, creative director and henna enthusiast. Her creative direction and styling has been featured in PhotoVogue’s Best of Photovogue and Pic of the Day, and more recently her work has been displayed at Lethaby Gallery.

  • Maryam

    Maryam Adam is a freelance, multidisciplinary Artist based in London. Beside expressing herself through Mehndi, she is a painter, illustrator and graphic designer. She often creates work that takes a visually surreal style yet is grounded in reality and dreaming of a better future.

  • Mehreen

    Mehreen is a multidisciplinary henna artist, exploring different ways to display works of henna through painting, photography, and in fashion. She creates work to demonstrate how mehndi is for the everyday so you can wear it on your hands, on your clothes or display it on the walls of your house or an art gallery.

  • Mishal

    Mishal is a self-taught henna artist that is passionate about promoting henna as a gender inclusive art form, celebrating its versatility and cultural significance while advocating for its appreciation across communities. Mishal is interested in exploring and learning about the history of henna in different cultures and is inspired by the array of designs and patterns found in henna art across various cultures.
